Storm combines motivational energy with her own personal training background to provide an atmosphere for her 1 hour per day inspiring, intense workout. You won’t find any shake you booty music here – although she doesn’t mind if you need to gear up and bring your ipod/mp3 player to get through her class. Just 60 minutes of motivational instruction that makes you feel as if you are the only person in the bootcamp.

Birthed from devastation, Storm has turned tragedy into triumph. 3 years ago after suffering a career ending back injury that doctor’s said she would never walk again, Storm did the impossible and not only walked again but created a company so she could afford to take care of herself after other gyms shunned away from having a trainer who had to be carried into the session, then use a walker and eventually a cane. Deemed bad for business Storm was sent home.

“Being faced with hopelessness really changes you”. “Prior to being successful in the computer industry I was an athlete’s athlete”. Some of the records I set in junior high and high school are still in place today. Riding a high about myself after finding out my record in the 800m run was broken after standing for over 20+ years, I found a local group of coaches who were training elite athletes to compete in the 2004 Olympics and on the professional circuit. Against all odds – I hadn’t run for 17 years – with an exception of a stint on the 1988 United States Navy All Navy Track Team – I made the Olympic Development team. After intense training I was not only the 2nd fastest sprinter on my team but had earned a trip to the 200m semi-finals of 2003 Women’s Colgate Games. My fastest time in the 400m was 56 seconds. I was only 3 seconds off the qualifying time needed to make it to the Olympic Trials. I was a machine. Dropping from almost 200 lbs down to 135 lbs, there was nothing stopping me. Or so I thought. “Enter Destiny.”

What does Storm say to those who shun away from all that touchy feely New Age, ‘starting over house’ style of training? She tells a story of how the human body can only physically run all out for 350 meters of a 400 meter race. At the last 50 meters there is nothing physically left in a runner’s body to get them to the finish line. Yet they get there. What is it you ask? Talk to Coach Bobby Knight. It’s about heart. An athlete is more than just the physical. Anybody can get into shape. Calories in. Calories out. Calories Burned. Resistance training. Yet, numbers show that 90% of the people joining fitness establishments NEVER get their results. NEVER. Based on that knowledge Storm Jackson provides an environment full of positive stimulation for her clients to understand their transformation first. The client becomes disenchanted as they realize that it’s going to be harder than they think to obtain their goal. And finally in that positive environment she leads her clients away from their OLD SELVES and introduces them to their NEW SELVES. Not based on hype and false promises of water weight loss. But based on being consistent, committed and training solely according to your individual resting heart rate.

In closing we asked Storm what would she say about her bootcamp and why anyone should give it a try. Not including her resume that boasts 200+ clients - not just novice to elite but an NFL Combine draftee hopeful - she responds that SELF-DECEPTION is an incredible thing. What I do with my clients is give them the TRUTH about the INDUSTRY and THEMSELVES. Working with that KNOWLEDGE I ask them: WHAT IS YOUR GOAL? and do you really want to reach it? Each day. 1 hour per day. 5 x per week I ask my clients that question. And after taking their anger and disappointment out on me – you should hear some of the names I get called laughs Storm – they eventually not only say YES they really want to reach their goal but now they have dropped their guard and TRUST me to TRAIN and JOURNEY with them towards their NEW SELF.
