MY WALK I grew up in S.E. and have been a resident of Washington, D.C. all of my life. I was accustomed to seeing people with low self esteem. There was no sense of morale among most young teens and parents in my neighborhood. Fortunately, I was raised in a household with two parents that really cared and encouraged me and my siblings to be who we were, regardless of what our surroundings encouraged us to be. At an early age I had become accustomed to exceeding the expectations of almost everyone around me. I learned early on that I had the gift to motivate people and help make them see something in themselves they didn't know existed, but I didn't have the know how or the discipline to help them reach their full potentials. What I promoted all of my life was what always seemed to help propel me forward - exercise of the mind and of the body. After graduating high school and going on to higher education, I worked in the computer field for 13 yrs for a fortune 500 company, that later misstated its income causing everyone working there to loose everything from 401k plans, to stock options, and eventually jobs. At this point, I understood that if you didn't possess the power to motivate yourself regardless of what life may present, you would eventually fold. This started my walk, developing my mental, physical, spiritual and emotional skills, giving me the strength to conquer anything I so desired. I have since realized that only I can defeat me or destroy me. MY THOUGHTS I believe that one cannot continue to grow if he/she cannot see beyond horizons. People usually view you by the strength of your work ethic. What happens tomorrow is a reflection of your work ethic today. What separates the good from the great is that the great learns best how to tap into his or her inner strengths and is disciplined enough to use them accordingly. MY MISSION To help individuals develop a self help program aimed at building confidence, boosting self esteem, raising morale, relieving stress , and creating personal growth while bettering their health through mental and physical conditioning.
